Embedded Software Engineer
We are looking for an Embedded Software engineer who can think both logically and creatively but still put
the customer at the heart of everything. With some really exciting projects to get your teeth sunk into, this
role will be based within our Systems Development Engineering team. The role involves developing
electronic hardware and software to further the technological advances of the agricultural industry. It
specifically focuses on GNSS and RTK for vehicle guidance, as well as creating telemetry solutions for
existing hardware used in agriculture. As ISObus is the predominant protocol for communication within
agricultural vehicles, using it to access high level telematic information about the farm vehicles is a major
focus, but other protocols such as J1939, CANOpen, RS232 and TCP/IP are also central to making a wide
range of agricultural infrastructure more “smart”.
You will be expected to be able to work efficiently in a team as well as being able to handle your own
personal workflow.
Person Specification
Required
- Linux - experience using the Unix command line interface
- Python
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with a healthy standard of IT literacy
including MS Office applications
- Ability to work well remotely within a team
Desirable
- Experience programming in C or C++
- Previous usage of ROS
- Knowledge of GNSS, RTK, NTRIP and the RTCM3 protocol
- Experience in IoT or Telemetry
- Experience in programming with hardware interfaces, especially CAN and RS232
- An understanding of various network protocols – TCP/IP, HTTP and MQTT in particular
- Experience using SQL databases
- Proficiency in CAD/3D design and experience in 3D printing
- Knowledge of the agricultural industry
- Having the confidence and ability to safely operate agricultural vehicles
Minimum Experience
1+ year industry experience

Junior Support Engineer

Junior Support Engineer
Temporary, Full-Time. July - September
Could lead to permanent position for the right applicant.
Salary: £350.00 - £450.00 P/W
The Challenge:
Are you looking for an opportunity to get involved in machine control systems? As a Digital Agriculture Junior Support engineer you will have
the opportunity to come up with solutions of controlling machines on the cutting edge of vehicle technology and agriculture. We are looking for
an engineer with basic skills to support hardware on agricultural vehicles, implements and infrastructure for controlling vehicle steering and
implement application systems.
The role initially will be working with our RTK network, going to site and setting up new users on a range of tractors, harvesters and crop
sprayers as well as assisting installing reference stations. We need an engineer keen to learn new tools and techniques and a willingness to
travel throughout the UK. With an understanding of farm machinery, you will use your skills to set up machines on our network. Your great
interpersonal skills will also assist you when dealing with customers as well as troubleshooting on the telephone. Training and support for
yourself will be available upfront and on demand.

You Have:
• Experience with farm machinery / Large vehicle operation
• A Willingness to learn
• Good time keeping
• Excellent communication skills
• A firm understanding of I.T and you will be competent with a laptop, Windows and MS Office
• Experience with hand tools

• Clean Full UK Driving License
Nice If You Have:
• Experience in GNSS systems as well as GNSS correction and RTK
• Experience in ISOBUS
• Experience with precision agriculture machine control systems
• An understanding of computer programming
• An understanding of agriculture/farming systems
• Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
• Qualification in automotive technology, agricultural engineering, electronics, or related field

We are looking for a Junior Front End Developer who has the ability to think both logically and creatively but still puts the customer at the heart of everything. With some really exciting projects to get your teeth sunk into this role will be based around assisting our Senior Full stack developer.  Your inquisitive, problem-solving mindset comes complete with plenty of common sense and a solid understanding of best practices.

You will be expected to be able to work efficiently in a team as well as being able to handle your own personal workflow.
